The best restaurants on Bonaire
The restaurants on Bonaire we send guests to, from fine dining on the water to local food in the outback, plus lunch spots and private chefs for the house.
For a long dinner: Chefs, At Sea, Brass Boer, La Cantina, Ingridients and Capriccio. For something easier: Cuba Compagnie, The Brewery, Consulaat, Rum Runners, It Rains Fishes and Blue Garden for Brazilian.
Lunch tends to happen at Hangout Beach Bar, N10, Bagels & Bloom, C'est la Vie, Tosti Jungle Bar or Between 2 Buns.
And then there is the island's own food. Maiky Snack serves authentic local cooking at a quiet spot in the outback and is a genuine local hangout. Posada Para Mira on the edge of Rincon has a wide front porch and specialties such as sopi di yuana. Mi Banana is a family-run restaurant well off the usual route, known for its cooking and its service.
Why these. At CHEFS the chefs cook a five-course menu and serve it themselves, at Bamboo Bonaire on Kaya Gob. N. Debrot, and a reservation is required. Brass Boer reopened on August 1, 2026 at Punt Vierkant 44, on the same stretch of coast as Punto Perfecto and Villa Papagayo. Capriccio serves classic and modern Italian on the waterfront, run by Lola and Andrea, who became Italy's youngest Michelin-starred chef at 21. It Rains Fishes sits on the boulevard next to the pier where the fishermen land their catch, so wahoo, mahi-mahi and snapper are what the kitchen works with.
The dish to try once is kabritu stobá, the goat stew many Bonaireans call the national dish. Posada Para Mira serves it with funchi or rice, alongside stewed chicken and fresh fish, and it is a lunch place rather than a dinner one.
If you would rather not go out at all, there are several private chefs on the island who will cook and serve in the house. Ask us and we will arrange it.
