Not a design villa but an original Bonairean house, renovated and standing right on the sea. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a garden all around and no pool.
Where the other houses were drawn by an architect, Kas Olof grew on the island and was brought up to date. Two wide verandas give onto the water and a garden runs around the whole house, so the breeze comes in from the sides as well as through.
There is no pool. The sea is reached by a staircase from the veranda and for most guests that settles the matter.
Four bedrooms with king beds and air conditioning, two bathrooms between them. It sleeps up to eight, so it is the least expensive way to put a large group on the water, and the house with the most character rather than the most design.
