The beach bars on Bonaire for the hours between swimming and dinner, facing the sunset, and the food trucks where people who live on the island eat outdoors.
The food trucks are worth an evening of their own: Kite City, Stoked, Cactus Blue, The Fat Dog, King Kong and the Pastechi Truck. Between them they cover most of what anyone wants to eat outdoors, and they are where you end up talking to people who live here.
The beach bars are for the hours between swimming and dinner. Hangout Beach Bar is the obvious one, close enough to Kralendijk to walk back from. Most of them face west, which on this island is the only direction that matters at six in the evening.
